Charles Buell, Principal of Charles Buell Consulting, is a building consultant and former licensed home inspector with over 40 years of experience in construction and inspection. He worked as a design/build general contractor for 33 years, specializing in award-winning, energy-efficient custom homes, and performed residential inspections for 17 years.
Charles is a long-time member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), where he served 14 years and twice chaired the National Technical Review Committee. He also served two terms on the Washington State Home Inspector Licensing Advisory Board, including as Education Committee Chair.
Since 2006, Charles has been an adjunct professor at Bellingham Technical College, teaching Plumbing, Electrical, and Building Science in the Home Inspection Training Course. He has presented at numerous inspection conferences across the U.S. and Canada and regularly shares insights through his blog at Charles Buell Consulting
